Cephalopod Appreciation Society 2017

Get ready to appreciate the Octopus, Squid, Chambered Nautilus, and Cuttlefish through poetry, music, film, science, art and more at the annual community gathering of the original CEPHALOPOD APPRECIATION SOCIETY, founded by poet and science-lover Sierra Nelson. Whether you are a long-time fan and C.A.S. member, or just curious to learn more about these stunning and intelligent creatures, we hope you will come celebrate them with us!

This year our annual gathering will be held at the Waterfront Space gallery (thanks to Friends of the Waterfront for having us!). At the end of our indoor festivities we'll parade together (rain or shine) with cephalopod signs and costumes down to the waterfront, with the option to visit some real-life cephalopods at the Seattle Aquarium just a few blocks away.

COSTUMES, CEPHALOPOD SIGNS, & CARRY-ABLE ARTWORK ENCOURAGED for our final procession to the water!
